»eSciDoc, Cooperative Open Source Software Development «

Summary: The talk will present the eSciDoc project as a joint initiative between the MPS and FIZ Karlsruhe. It will outline its objectives and target applications (publication and research data repository). A specific emphasis will be put on presenting the implementation framework based on the Fedora platform, eliciting the various components and interfaces that it provides for the management and use of scientific digital assets. On this basis, an overview of the acquired experience will be made, as well as a proposal for close collaboration of the institutes through a participation concept.
